Wills & Lasting Powers of Attorney for Woking

For individuals and couples living in Woking, making a Will and LPAs together allows you to plan both for your estate and for decisions during your lifetime. I provide personal solicitor-led advice, with fixed-fee packages for a Simple Will or Simple Mirror Wills and both types of LPA.

I am based in Teddington, not Woking. Appointments are available at my Teddington office, or by video. Signing and witnessing must still meet the relevant legal requirements.

Choosing attorneys and executors in Woking

Your executors deal with your estate after your death; your attorneys have a different role, making the decisions covered by your LPAs during your lifetime. We can discuss who to appoint, whether attorneys should act together or separately, and replacement appointments. Each person gives their own instructions, including when a couple arranges Mirror Wills and LPAs together.

What the combined packages include

  • Initial consultation up to 60 minutes
  • One professionally drafted Simple Will, or Simple Mirror Wills for a couple
  • Advice on executors, trustees and attorneys
  • One Property & Financial Affairs LPA and one Health & Welfare LPA per person
  • Acting as the certificate provider, where appropriate
  • Witnessing of the signatures
  • Registering the LPAs with the Office of the Public Guardian
  • Secure storage of your original signed Will(s) at the office

A Will and LPAs serve different purposes

Your Will

A Will records who should receive your estate after your death and who should deal with it. It can also appoint guardians for children and include gifts and trusts where appropriate.

Your Lasting Powers of Attorney

A Property & Financial Affairs LPA covers money and property; with your permission it can be used while you have capacity. A Health & Welfare LPA can only be used when you lack capacity to make the relevant decision. LPAs must be registered before use.
