Which LPA do you need?
A Property and Financial Affairs LPA can be used, with your permission, while you still have capacity — useful if you would like help managing your money now. A Health and Welfare LPA can only be used if you lose capacity to make those decisions yourself. Many people choose to make both.
The certificate provider
Every LPA needs a certificate provider to confirm you understand it and are not under pressure. Where appropriate, I can act as your certificate provider as part of my fee, so you do not need to find someone else.
Fees
My fixed fee is £180 for one LPA or £300 for both types for one person, with no VAT. The Office of the Public Guardian charges a separate £92 registration fee per LPA.
